Hello to all my family, friends and readers!! Well....it's been since September 20 since I posted. I really didn't mean to take that much time off. The main reason I have been so deliquent is that I accidentally knocked my trusty camera off my desk. It still works, but only with duct tape wrapped around itself to hold the batteries in!! What a mess! This situation has made me realize that duct tape is NOT the "cure all" for every type of mishap under the sun!! I still have to hold the camera and secure the batteries while shooting with the other hand. It's been driving me mad!! I still haven't bought a new camera yet, but I will soon!! Then I can start putting pictures back on my blog!! So, until then blogs without pictures will have to do!! They just won't be as attractive or interesting.
I'm having a wonderful weekend!! I drove to Austin this past Friday to visit my daughters Tellanova and Suzanne! Tellanova performed her original music at a music store!! She was fantastic.......You can listen to her music at http://www.myspace.com/tellanova.
Then, Suzanne and I stayed together at a nearby hotel. We tried to catch a midnight movie, but the last showing at any theater anywhere was between 10:00 and 11:00. What's with Austin, anyway? I'm used to at least one theater in the Dallas area showing midnight movies. Oh, well!
Tonight my son, Andrew, is starring in a main stage play at SMU. His father and I will be there with smiles on our faces and a spring in our step........And, I'll have ear plugs in my purse!! Some of these plays have dialogue that is a bit embarrassing for me. So it goes, I guess. But, a few nights ago I came up with the brilliant idea of having a set of ear plugs in my lap and ready to go. This way I can keep on smiling oblivious to the words swirling about in the atmosphere. I thought my idea was brilliant!! I'll let you know how it works out!!
